The Springtide Better Politics Awards are a celebration of people who are making a positive impact on the state of democracy in Nova Scotia. Through their actions as politicians, public figures and community leaders, the individuals we celebrate fill us with hope for the future of politics and democracy in Nova Scotia.
2016’s keynote speaker was Kevin Page. Mr. Page served as Canada’s first Parliamentary Budget Officer, from 2008 to 2013. He currently holds the Jean Luc Pepin Research Chair at the University of Ottawa and is the author of Unaccountable: Truth and Lies on Parliament Hill.
